On 8 November 2018, a historic one-day event took place in the House of Commons to bring together women parliamentarians from around the world came to the House of Commons to celebrate their achievements, discuss how to strengthen visibility, and further empower women parliamentarians to continue to drive change nationally and internationally.
I want to send my very best wishes to everyone celebrating Diwali here in Britain and all around the world.
I raised the following Point of Order on Tuesday 6 November 2018:
At 13:45 on 06 November 2018 Parliament was suspended for ninety minutes so that members could attend a service to mark the Centenary of the end of the First World War. I joined with members of both houses and the public at St Margaret’s Church to remember the bravery and sacrifice of those who lost their lives in the First World War.
On Monday 5 November 2018, I responded to the Leader of the House at the debate on the Dame Laura Cox report on the bullying and harassment of House of Commons staff.
