I took part in the #5050TeeChallenge on 2 March 2019, ahead of International Women's Day on 8 March.
We watched Darlaston Town (1874) FC achieve a 3-0 victory over Wyrley on Saturday 4 March 2019. This game brought Darlaston's run of matches unbeaten to 15.
The Government’s “Implications for business and trade of a no deal exit on 29 March 2019” published on 26 February 2019 states that a no-deal Brexit could mean that the UK economy would be 9% smaller in the long term, the flow of goods through Dover would be “significantly reduced for months” and the Government are behind on contingency planning for a third of their critical projects.
As special guest at a ceremony to honour Indian civil servants at the Indian High Commission on 28 February 2019, I gave a speech on my role as an MP and Shadow Leader of the House and presented certificates to the civil servants.
Parliament voted on a several amendments to a motion put to the House by the Prime Minister on 27 February 2019. These included an amendment tabled by Alberto Costa which I supported by adding my name to. The amendment called on the Government to seek protections for UK citizens in the EU and EU citizens in the UK after Brexit.
