On Tuesday 24 January 2017 I met with 65 teachers at the Parliamentary Education Centre for the Teachers' Institute, two of the teachers attending were from Barr Beacon School.
I spoke in the Chamber on 24 January 2017 to endorse the appointment of Robert Fredrick Behrens CBE to the offices of Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration and Health Service Commissioner for England.

It was a pleasure to attend a dinner hosted by the Speaker, Rt Hon John Bercow MP (centre), in honour of the Burmese Speaker Win Myint (right). Win Myint was appointed Speaker on 1 February 2016 and is a member of the National League for Democracy (NLD) political party in Burma. I was greeted by Members of the Burmese delegation including MPs and senior officials. Win Myint and his parliamentary colleagues watched Prime Minister's Questions from the gallery on Wednesday 25 January 2017.
On Monday 23 January 2017 I attended the House of Commons (HOC) Library Open Evening to discuss how the space could be used for Member related events and the new products and services.
