I visited the Walsall African Caribbean Centre to celebrate Black History Month on Saturday 29 October 2016. I was accompanied by Cllr Eileen Russell, St Matthews. There were representatives of various organisations such as WHG and Age UK to provide information and support for members of the community.

On Thursday 27 October 2016, as Shadow Leader of the House, I started Business questions by calling for the Government to announce the forthcoming business.
On Tuesday 25 October 2016, Charles Walker MP was granted the following Urgent Question: To ask the Leader of the House of Commons if he will make a statement on the Government’s response to the Procedure Committee’s second report of this Session on Private Members’ Bills and if he will provide time for that report to be debated.
