I have been contacted by many of my constituents opposed to the provisions to privatise the Land Registry. I first raised this in the House on 27 May 2016. The Backbench committee agreed to a debate which was held on Thursday 30 March 2016 led by David Lammy MP.

The Leave Campaign for the EU Referendum did not provide the country with a strategy to guide the UK to an exit out of the European Union. At Leader of the House on 30 June 2016, I called for clarification on the next steps following the vote on 23 June 2016.

I raised the future of Birmingham Airport with the Secretary of State for Transport at Transport Questions on 30 June 2016. Birmingham Airport served a record 10.2 million passengers in 2015 and When the new Birmingham Interchange Station links the Airport to HS2, Birmingham Airport will become the most accessible in the UK. A second runway would be be extremely beneficial to the growth of the West Midlands, including Walsall.
