At the New Art Gallery on Saturday 30 April 2016 there was a celebration of Vaisakhi through an exhibition of Langar. Langar is a term used in the Sikh religion for the common kitchen/canteen where free food is served in a Gurdwara to all the visitors. The exhibition demonstrated the Sikh importance around the equality and sharing of food. It was organised by Surgit Rai.
On Saturday 30th April 2016 I went on a walkabout in the Town Centre to speak to stall holders about anti-social behaviour.
I attended The Twelfth Annual Mayor’s Civic Awards to celebrate Walsall personalities and organisations who have made outstanding contributions to Walsall which was held at the Town Hall Walsall on 29 April 2016.
During a backbench debate about the HMRC 'Building our Future' plans, on Thursday 28th April, I raised my concerns about the planned closure of the HMRC office in Walsall, HMRC's inability to close the tax gap and the growing frustration of hard working tax payers, while the wealthy and big businesses have various means of reducing their tax bill.
At Justice questions on Tuesday 26 April, I was called to ask the Minister a question.
