On Wednesday 21 January 2015 the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence on care.data. Sam Smith, medConfidential; Nicola Perrin, Wellcome Trust; Professor Nigel Mathers, Honorary Secretary, Royal College of General Practitioners; Tim Kelsey, National Director for Patients and Information, NHS England; and Dame Fiona Caldicott, Chairman, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust gave evidence.
On Tuesday 20 January 2015, a Delegated Legislation Committee, of which Valerie sat as a member, scrutinised the Domestic Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme (Amendment) Regulations 2015.
On Tuesday 20 January 2015 Valerie raised the kidnapped Nigerian Schoolgirls in Foreign and Commonwealth Questions.
On Saturday 17 January 2015, Valerie attended Delves Community Baptist Church, where she officially opened the Church's new disabled facilities.
On Friday 16 January 2015, Valerie chaired a roundtable meeting on inclusion in sport at Wolverhampton University’s Walsall Campus between the Khalsa Football Federation (KFF) and representatives of Sport England, the West Midlands County Sports Partnership, BeActive and Sporting Equals.
