Valerie attended the presentation and lobby in support of The Oliver King Foundation on Wednesday 29th January 2014.
Valerie intervened in second reading of the Consumer Rights Bill on Tuesday 28th January 2014.
On Thursday 23 January 2014, Valerie and pupils from Blue Coat Infants School presented a petition at 10 Downing Street, calling on the Prime Minister and other world leaders to ensure that every child around the world has access to an education.
Valerie spoke at a panel discussion event at the House of Commons hosted by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Legal and Constitutional affairs on Wednesday 22nd January together with Mr Robert Bukland MP and John Gallagher Solicitor at Shelter.
On Tuesday 21 January 2014 the Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, heard evidence on Urgent and Emergency from Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, NHS Medical Director, Professor Keith Willett, National Director for Acute Episodes of Care, and Emma O’Donnell, Deputy Director for Acute Episodes of Care, NHS England.
