On Wednesday 23 October 2013, Valerie met with a delegation of Indian Senior Civil Servants in Parliament.
On Tuesday 22 October 2013 in the House of Commons, Valerie Vaz, MP for Walsall South, attended Birmingham Day organised by Gisela Stuart MP.
The Health Select Committee, of which Valerie is a member, held the annual accountability hearing for CQC and heard from the Chair, David Behan, and Chief Executive, David Prior.
Valerie Vaz MP met John Morris, Public Affairs Director for Birmingham Airport, at the House of Commons to discuss the proposed plans for Airport expansion.
Valerie has written to the Communities and Local Government Minister, Brandon Lewis MP, after he failed to say when questioned in the House of Commons what support the Government will give to Walsall MBC to restore Town Centre recycling facilities.
