The Annual Labour Party Conference took place in Brighton from the 22 September to 25 September 2013. Valerie held a number of meetings with various charities and organisations.
Valerie organised a meeting with representatives of Centro Babs Coombes and National Express West Midlands, Jack Kelly and residents of Stafford Road, Darlaston on Friday 13 September 2013. Centro has written to Valerie to say that the 327 service will now be diverted away from Stafford Road.
Valerie opposes the Government's plans to privatise Royal Mail.
On Friday 13 September 2013, Valerie held a meeting at Stafford Road in Darlaston with residents and representatives of Centro and National Express West Midlands to discuss congestion caused by the number of bus routes using the road.
On Thursday 12 September 2013, Valerie and Burma Campaign UK attended the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to deliver over 2000 letters and postcards from supporters of Burma Campaign UK with the call for action to end rape and sexual violence against women in Burma.
