On Friday 30 November Valerie hosted students from the Second Chance School in Walsall around the Houses of Parliament.
Valerie raised the issue of the Zebra Crossing on Darlaston Road, near the junction with Hough Road, in the House of Commons for the second time after Walsall MBC refused to upgrade the existing Zebra Crossing to a Signal Controlled design.
On Thursday 22 November Valerie spoke in favour of the motion to teach Life-saving skills in school in a House of Commons Backbench Business debate.
Valerie said: "I am delighted that the return of Sunday openings has boosted the New Art Gallery’s visitor numbers by 1,400 in a month and that the Gallery expects this figure to reach 20,000 in a year."
From the 18 to 21 November 2012, the Health Select Committee of which Valerie is a member visited Copenhagen and Stockholm to look at integrated care.
