On Thursday 24 May 2012, at Business, Innovation and Skills oral questions, Valerie Vaz, MP for Walsall South, asked the Minister what the Government is doing to encourage more women business mentors. Valerie also raised the issue of visitors visas with the Leader of the House, the Rt. Hon. Sir George Young MP.
On Wednesday 23 May 2012 the Health Select Committee published its fifteenth report since May 2010 and its first report into 'Education, training and workforce planning' in the NHS.
On Wednesday 9 May 2012 Valerie hosted an afternoon Tea at the House of Commons for the Alumna of Bedford College, University of London.
On Wednesday 16 May Valerie joined Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen at a dinner hosted at the House of Commons.
