Valerie has welcomed news that after pressure to provide details of the discussion relating to the site Walsall Borough Council conirmed they will not sell the former Moxely Infants School site to the Staffordshire and West Midlands Probation Trust to build an Approved Premises
Valerie asked the House of Commons Library to provide information on the shareholders of the main UK gas, electricity and water companies.
On Wednesday 14th March 2012 Valerie joined more than 40 other MPs and Peers as they ran the Westminster Mile through St. James’s Park in London in support of Sport Relief 2012.
During a Commons debate on 13 March 2012 Valerie opposed the Health and Social Care Bill and called on the Government to abandon its reorganisation of the National Health Service.
Valerie was invited to speak at the Nehru Centre on 8 March 2012 for an event held by the UK Telugu association to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event was held to encourage women so that they can achieve their ambitions.
