 The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams. Dr Williams - the leader of 80 million Anglicans worldwide - was in Parliament to talk with MPs about issues facing the Anglican Church and society.

Valerie joined local residents of all ages at a 'Save Our Libraries' event at Pleck Library on Saturday 5th February 2011.  All around the country library users gathered to protest about cuts to library services and library closures.

Today, Valerie Vaz MP visited Walsall College where she met students and staff.  Valerie was keen to speak with students from Walsall Collge as she had presented a petition against the abolition of the Educational Maintenance Allowance (EMA) signed by hundreds of them to Parliament on 19th January.  This was immediately after the House of Commons debate on EMA.

On Thursday 27th January, Valerie pledged her commitment to Holocaust Memorial Day by signing a Book of Commitment in the House of Commons to honour those who lost their lives in the Holocaust.
