I had the pleasure of chairing a meeting between Rick Parry, Chairman of the English Football League (EFL), and MPs in the Midlands region. This was the sixth meeting the EFL has had with MPs, as the league are speaking about their proposals to each region that makes up the EFL.

On 10 January 2023 The Commons debated amendments to the Stamp Duty Land Tax (Reduction) Bill. The Stamp Duty Land Tax (Reduction) Bill was introduced on 24 October 2022. The Bill intends to reduce for a temporary period the amount of stamp duty land tax chargeable on the acquisition of residential property.
During Justice Questions on 10 January 2023, the Minister was asked what recent progress he has made on tackling the backlog of court cases.
In April 2022 the Conservative Government intended to privatise Channel 4. The former Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries and former Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced this policy to sell Channel 4 after 40 years in public ownership.
