On Saturday 23 April 2022, I was very pleased to attend an inter-faith community event hosted by Minhaj ul Quran on Woodwards Road, where different faiths were brought together to share a meal.

In light of the numerous statements made by the Prime Minster to the House about his knowledge of events reported to have taken place in Downing Street and the Cabinet Office during the coronavirus lockdowns, events which both he and the Chancellor of the Exchequer have been issued fines by the Metropolitan Police for attending, the House  debated the Motion tabled in the name of Keir Starmer and supported by the  opposition party leaders.  The motion asks the Privileges Committee to investigate whether said statements made by the Prime Minster deliberately misled MPs, which would amount to contempt of Parliament.

The Nationality and Borders Bill makes wide-ranging reforms to the legal framework for immigration to the United Kingdom. The Bill returned to the Commons for consideration of amendments made by the Lords for a second time on Wednesday 21 April 2022, so that we could vote on the amendments.

The Building Safety Bill seeks to reform building safety regulations in the UK, and makes provision about how remedial safety work is paid for. The Bill came back to the Commons on Wednesday 21 April 2022 having been amended by the Lords, so that we could vote on the amendments.

In November 2021, the Fan-Led Review of Football Governance made detailed recommendations to safeguard the future of English football. Walsall FC gave evidence as part of the Review. On Wednesday 20 April 2022 I attended a "Fair Game" event in Parliament to support the full implementation of the Fan-Led Review.
