Valerie was on the panel of judges for the Speaker’s School Council Awards 2015.
Valerie said:
“I was delighted to participate in the shortlisting of these awards. The Education Service did a wonderful job shortlisting the large numbers of entries and the panel judged the entries with the final decision made by Mr Speaker. The panel included last year’s winners, Corelli School, Greenwich.”
“The Speaker’s School Council Awards encourages children of all ages to enter a project or contribution they have made to the school leading to a positive change for the school. Every entrant wins a certificate from the Speaker for their efforts, runners up receive a commemorative plaque for their school and the winner is invited to the House of Commons to receive the winner’s trophy from the Speaker. The standard was extremely high and winners will be announced by the Speaker. “
