The Skills, Training and Apprenticeship awards, the Wholesale Stars, were held again in Parliament on 18 April 2023. The awards celebrated and rewarded employees who are investing in developing their skills through apprenticeships, training or academic study, with the support of their employer.
Nominations came from people of all ages and experience, and from any discipline across the wholesale sector. All the winners have undertaken a course to improve their skills eg. an apprenticeship, external training course, or academic or business qualification. Shadow Business and Industry Minister Bill Esterson MP presented the awards.
I was delighted to meet Daniel Smith and Kelly Burrows from A F Blakemore who are based in the constituency in Darlaston. Both were rewarded with recognition of their excellent work.
