I have also written to Laura Shoaf, Managing Director of Transport for West Midlands about the removal of mature trees along Birmingham Road and the proposals to build a 300 space car park on green belt land as part of the Sprint Bus route.
It is unclear why any trees need to be removed at all as the Sprint Bus will no longer be serviced by articulated vehicles and will now use standard sized buses which already use this route, such as the X51. Residents must be properly consulted about these decisions and green belt land should be protected from inappropriate development.
