I attended ‘A Taste of Cumbria’ at the Houses of Parliament on Wednesday 23 January 2019, an event showcasing produce from a beautiful part of our country.
There was a selection of delicious produce available to taste, including delicious relishes, cheeses and vegan cakes, all of which was produced in Cumbria.
I spoke to Graham Kennedy of Allerdale Borough Council about the #visitallerdale campaign, showcasing this beautiful and inspiring part of the UK.
Visit Allerdale is encouraging people to visit this wonderful area, which, beside its food culture, boasts natural wonders including famous mountains (including Helvellyn and Catbells), more lakes than any other area of Cumbria and lots of wildlife (including osprey, red squirrels and red deer), as well as a range of outdoor activities and shopping opportunities.
You can find out more about Allerdale here.
