On Wednesday 30 October 2013 Valerie attended the Silver Star Diabetes Challenge in the House of Commons. Holby City’s actor Hari Dhillon, who plays Surgeon Michael Spence, was at the event to help MPs get tested.
Valerie said:
“Silver Star is a wonderful charity that aims to raise diabetes awareness. Silver Star go into the community with Mobile Diabetes Units to carry out diabetes testing.”
“The diabetes test was so easy. It only takes two minutes and can save lives. I hope my constituents will also take the test.”
