Valerie attends West Midlands Launch of “BrainNav” online directory for people with acquired brain injuries

On Friday 9 November 2012, Valerie attended the West Midlands Launch of the “BrainNav” online directory of services for people with acquired brain injuries.

Valerie said:

“The BrainNav online directory will be an excellent resource for people with acquired brain injuries and their families as well as for professionals working with people who have acquired brain injuries. It offers users the opportunity to search for the services they need and which are local to them. Results are then displayed on an interactive map so that users can quickly identify the most appropriate services that are closest to where they are needed.”

“The West Midlands Acquired Brain Injury Forum event to launch BrainNav showed just how valuable this new service is. The professionals in attendance were enthusiastic and clearly optimistic that the service can make a positive difference to the lives of those who have suffered acquired brain injuries.”

“I congratulate Thompson’s Solicitors, Optua UK and the UK Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF) for their work in developing the service. It shows that when organisations with a range of knowledge and expertise come together and work strategically, they can deliver services that can lead to a real improvement to the quality of life.”
