Valerie met the Walsall Harmonic Male Voice Choir. The choir was formed in 1970 from the membership of the Walsall Harmonic and Social Society, which was founded in 1897. They meet every Monday evening at The Chuckery Club, 44 Beacon Street, Walsall. The Choir’s membership is around 20 singers, and they are directed by Bryan Jeffreys, a founder-member.
Valerie said: “It was wonderful to meet and hear the Choir. They gave an excellent rendition of Some Enchanted Evening from the musical South Pacific. I would encourage people to hear them. They are a very talented group of men and hopefully this will inspire people to make music.”
The Choir is available to perform at functions in the local area, for reasonable charges. They regularly perform for charity events, local community and church based activities, and in joint concerts with other local choirs and ensembles.
For a preview, anyone is welcome to attend on a Monday evening to listen to them rehearse.
