I am honoured to be re-elected as the Member of Parliament for Walsall South for the fourth time, with 20,872 votes and 49.1% of the vote share.
The turnout was 62.4%. My thanks to all those who voted and campaigned in adverse weather conditions in the first December General Election since 1923.
Walsall South has chosen the politics of hope over fear, and my constituents have rejected the current Government’s policy of austerity. I will continue to represent residents and be a strong voice for Walsall South so that we can all work together for the common good, to save our NHS, schools and public services, and so that we live in peace and prosperity.
