On Saturday 7 February 2015, Valerie visited Darlaston Library to celebrate National Libraries Day with Councillor Doug James and Councillor Angela Underhill the Deputy Mayor.
Valerie said:
“Darlaston Library is a wonderful community resource and I was pleased to visit the library on National Libraries Day. The Library marked National Libraries Day with a board where visitors could place the name of their favourite book.”
“One of the many benefits of using libraries is the presence of dedicated librarians with a wide range of knowledge who are able to recommend new books which match the interests of those of any age or interest who visit the library. There are many activities going on in Darlaston Library and a play area for children. It is important that we use our libraries to show how much they are valued.”
