Valerie said:
“It was a pleasure to meet with Sixth Formers at Alumwell College to discuss global poverty and political participation. Their understanding of these complex issues was interesting. I was very pleased to see that they were so passionate about political participation and eliminating global poverty.”
“During my visit, the students gave a presentation on Global Poverty and Hunger following a conference they had attended on the subject with other students from around the world on 26 June 2012.
It is extremely important that young people learn about the crucial issues of Global Poverty and political participation. This will equip them with the skills to make a difference to the world and understand global issues more fully.”
