Valerie has nominated Golden Moments on Ablewell Street to represent Walsall South in the Tiffin Cup 2012 South Asian Restaurant Competition.
Valerie said:
“I am pleased to nominate Golden Moments to represent Walsall South in the Tiffin Cup 2012 Competition. Eight restaurants were nominated by constituents after I launched a competition to find the restaurant to represent Walsall South. Golden Moments received the most nominations.”
“South Asian cuisine is at the heart of Britain’s culinary culture. In Walsall South, we are lucky to have many wonderful South Asian restaurants. Competition for the nomination to represent Walsall South has been extremely strong.”
“Golden Moments will now go through to the West Midlands Regional Final of the Tiffin Cup 2012. The winners of each of the Regional Finals will then be invited to the Houses of Parliament in July to take part in a Grand Final ‘cook off’ which will decide the overall winner of the Tiffin Cup 2012. Previous nominees were Nessa and Caldmore Balti House.”
“The Tiffin Cup is awarded every year by the Tiffin Club of MPs. The aim is not only to celebrate the quality and diversity of South Asian food in Britain but also raise money for charity. This year the competition is in aid of World Vision.”
