On Wednesday 12 January, I re-established the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Epilepsy by chairing its Annual General Meeting with a cross-party group of MPs and Peers.
Every year in the UK, around 1,000 people die from causes related to epilepsy. It is one of the top-ten causes of early death.
The APPG for Epilepsy is a platform for parliamentarians, professionals and the public to raise awareness and fight for a better deal for people living with epilepsy.
Secretarial support for the group is provided by Epilepsy Action and SUDEP Action. You can read more about the work they do by following the links below:
