Valerie has received a message of support for Walsall FC from former Chelsea and Holland Striker Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.
Valerie said:
“I met Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink at a celebration of diversity in the UK. I told him about Walsall’s road to Wembley and he sent his best wishes to the Saddlers for the final of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy against Bristol City on 22 March 2015.”
“This was an especially generous gesture as Jimmy is now manager of local rivals Burton Albion who were knocked out of this year’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy in their first match.”
“I know that the whole of the Borough will be cheering the Saddlers on to Wembley success in one of the biggest matches in the club’s history.”
