Valerie attended a talent competition at Walsall MyPlace Centre on Saturday 15 December 2012, which was organised by the “Activate Against Hate” project.
Valerie said:
“I was delighted to attend and speak at the ‘Activate Against Hate’ talent competition. ‘Activate Against Hate’ aims to educate young people in Walsall on the causes and effects of discrimination.”
“I hope that ‘Activate Against Hate’ will encourage young people to stand up to prejudice and discrimination and to recognise that it is never acceptable. The young people who organised the event are to be commended for their dedication and commitment.”
