“I am encouraging all children in Walsall South to take part in the Gadgeteers Summer Reading Challenge. By reading books and collecting rewards, children can get to know the Gadgeteers, a team of six characters who use their curiosity to find out more about the science of our world. The Gadgeteers need readers’help to put on a brilliant summer party.
This year’s collection of Summer Reading Challenge books are about using science, innovation and imagination to understand the world around us. The books include“How to Teach the Grown Ups about Pluto”, “Once Upon an Atom”, “Science Experiments at Home”and Dr Maggie Aderin-Pocock’s “Grand Tour of the Solar System.”
Children can borrow the books and get free Gadgeteers packs from their local library, and access the Summer Reading Challenge website to review books, download activities and play games.
I hope that all children in Walsall South will take part in this exciting Challenge and enjoy spending time at their local library this summer.”
