“I visited the Minhaj Pleck Youth Club to talk to some young members of the club and their parents. I spoke about how I got into politics and the values of the Labour Party. I also spoke about the work I have done over the past 5 years in Parliament and addressed the importance of engagement of young people in politics.”
“During a Question and Answer session I was asked about Islamophobia. Labour will take a zero-tolerance approach to hate crime, such as Islamophobia – challenging prejudice before it grows, whether in schools, universities or on social media. I also invited the group to Parliament after the election. It is good to see so many young people take an interest in Parliament.”
