I went for a walk with the Walsall Kobar Friendship Association on Saturday 21 September 2019. We started at the Arboretum and walked by the canal to raise awareness of the situation in Palestine and funds for people in Kobar.
The Association are a group of Walsall residents who have forged a link with a village called Kobar near Ramallah in Palestine.
Now in its eighth year, Eric Frankham and others in the group have extended links with Kobar by both organising visits to Kobar and visits to Walsall. The Association has also helped with one or two projects there including the building of a new mosque.
It is important for the people of Walsall to support efforts to ensure that there is peace and reconciliation for the citizens of Kobar.
You can find more information about Walsall Kobar Friendship Association on its website here.
