West Midlands Royal College of Psychiatrists

On Friday 11th March, Valerie attended the launch of the Royal College of Psychiatrists’ Depression and Dementia videos at the Forest Arts Centre in Walsall with Dr Safi Afghan, the West Midlands Education Officer of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

The films, ‘Journey of Memory’ and ‘Dawn of Hope’ have been produced by Dr Afghan and Dr  Rashda Tabassum for Urdu and Punjabi speakers. 

 Valerie said:

“I am delighted to be attending the launch of this valuable resource. Raising awareness and understanding of the issues surrounding depression and dementia among the Asian community is an important project, and I hope that many people will have the opportunity to learn more about this condition through these innovative films.”
